Sue Boldt

Something I'd like you to know about me: I am a wife, mother, and grandma to the most beautiful family in the world! I'm not crazy about looking older (no botox, yet!), but I cherish all of my life's experiences and each year that has passed. God has redeemed what seemed like the worst experiences and turned them into gold, while making the prized experiences even richer with His touch. I look forward to each new day to see what adventure He has next in store for me!

Why I do what I do: I have an ache in my heart for women everywhere to experience the freedom, joy, peace, strength, happiness, help, security and power I have found in the Lord Jesus! Having been caught in chains I couldn't break myself in three major areas - eating disorder, depression and uncontrollable fantasy life - the Lord has one by one broken each of these tormenting issues and replaced them with His presence. I love to share what He has done for me and see others walk in freedom from their issues, too!

My favorite things:
  • Sports: I like to watch just about every sport under the sun! Though athletic and a dancer when younger, I now only walk Heidi the Princess Dog, jog and do some push-ups!!!
  • Music: K-LOV pretty much sums that up.
  • Movies: My favorites are Hoosiers, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, The Burbs (a Boldt family classic), the Bourne series (though I have to cover my eyes for about three-quarters of each of them!). Hmmmmm, I'll have to think some more...
  • Books/Authors: My recent favorites are Donald Miller, Jan Karon, Francine Rivers, David McCullough, Charles Colson, and John Eldredge.
  • Activities: I love to be with friends, walk around Walnut Creek, shop at Christmas in the City (S.F.), take Heidi and my Bible and find a quiet place on Mare Island, knit, write snail-mail letters, and read, read, read!
  • Food: I do everything but sushi!

If I could spend time with any historical person...I would enjoy visiting with Abraham Lincoln (though he probably wouldn't want to go to the mall with me!). What a leader! Against all odds, he helped the nation remain a union. He was a man of faith, perserverance, and endurance in the midst of suffering. Whew!
