Something I'd like you to know about me: I am a passionate person driven to love, serve, and honor God with my life and goals. I am drawn to the oppressed and marginalized to come side by side with them and to right the wrongs in their lives.
Why I do what I do: I desire to serve and love this generation's youth, help them experience an authentic relationship w/ God rooted in love, and help them imagine what their role in the Kingdom of God looks like loving God and embracing humanity.
My favorite things:
- Sports: I love playing basketball and will always join a game when I can. Also, I'm a Lakers fan. I can already hear the boo's :)
- Music: I am all over the place. I can listen to anything from alternative to a movie soundtrack.
- Movies: Batman Begins and Dark Knight, the Bourne Trilogy, Rocky Movies, Gladiator, Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace, The Prestige, The Last Samurai, Mission Impossible 3... to name a few.
- Books/Authors: I really enjoy Rob Bell, JP Moreland, Greg Boyd, Lee Strobel, Henri Nouwen, Erwin Mcmanus, CS Lewis, and Francis Chan. What I usually read falls into these categories: spiritual formation, missional living, social justice, philosophy, and technology.
- Activities: I love finding time to read, write in my journal, think through ideas, and be creative with whatever is in front of me. I love learning and dreaming up what the world could look like.
- Food: Can't go wrong with Italian and Mexican food. Try Kinder's BBQ. You won't find anything better.
If I could spend time with any historical person...Captain Edward John Smith or anyone who survived the Titanic disaster.
